I am a Campus Pastor for Christ’s Church of the Valley in Southern California. I grew up there in Southern California where, at the age of 16, I made the life change to begin to follow Jesus. After hitting rock bottom my junior year in high school, my prayer was simply, “Lord, the life I live is now yours. Do with it as you will.” This is the same prayer that led me into ministry and is the same prayer I continue to pray daily.
I attended Azusa Pacific University, received a B.A. in Biblical Studies and will have my degree posting from Fuller Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Theology in June 2014.
My wife, Julie, and I married in 2007 and have shared a passion for expanding God’s Kingdom and growing leaders for this generation and the generation to come. Julie is currently the head women’s water polo coach at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California and has her Masters degree from California Baptist University. We began growing our family in 2012 with the unexpected joy of 17-year-old twins, Wesley and Joelle. We have added two more to that number with Cayden born in May 2013 and Caleb born December 2013. The rapid growth of a family from two to six in less than two years has grown us as a couple and as a family in ways only God can begin to explain, and we love all that God is doing in our lives and the lives of our Children.
There are many things that I have a passion for, but one of my greatest joys is to see God transform lives. I love how he uses anyone who is available to spark the life change that only He can bring. I whole-heartedly support the world-wide church and love to share in growing the kingdom of God in all cities, countries, and villages. Many people describe me as a passionate leader and speaker who spreads the truth in word and deed each day. My desire is to have an eternal impact on the next generation and next generational leaders. Overall, the question I ask daily to myself is, “Am I being effective for the Kingdom of God?” Join me in this journey along the way.
